tw telecom expands New York and Connecticut footprint
tw telecom has expanded its network in New York Hudson Valley and western Connecticut, US.
The move enables the company to offer services to enterprises and data centre customers in Westchester and Fairfield counties, The Bronx, as well as Greenwich and Stamford, Connecticut.
The company has also appointed its long-standing New York telecom executive Carl Bonitz as its vice president and general manager for the Westchester market in order to oversee the expansion.
“We look forward to leveraging this network expansion to provide enterprises here in the area with secure, scalable and predictable network connections that deliver faster, better and easier solutions to move their businesses forward," said Bonitz.
In June, the company was acquired by Level 3 for approximately $5.6 billion.
In July, it went on to expand its network footprint across metropolitan Atlanta.
