Jazztel mulls Yoigo acquisition

Spain’s Jazztel is reportedly considering the acquisition of TeliaSonera’s Spanish arm, Yoigo.

In a note to Spanish stock market regulators, the Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores (CNMV), Jazztel confirmed that discussions were being held over the possibility of an acquisition.

However, the company also clarified that "the process is still in early stages, so it is currently not possible to anticipate what the terms and conditions of the transaction would be if it were to materialise".

TeliaSonera attempted to sell off its Spanish subsidiary in July 2012, but abandoned the sale in April 2013, as bidders failed to meet its valuation price.
