The move follows an earlier announcement from Salesforce that it will launch its first European data centre in the UK, and it has also announced plans for a third in Germany in 2015.
Few details of the data centre in France have been disclosed, but it is expected to be powered by renewable energy sources.
In August, Interxion announced that it will acquire the SFR Netcenter data centre facilities in Marseille, France.
