Orange will provide an end-to-end satellite solution, which will connect BW Offshore’s 14 vessels and two land-based locations to its MPLS network.
It will offer BW Offshore employees access to the same business applications, communication and entertainment services. BW Offshore will also invest in SIP trunking in order to further strengthen its unified communications.
“We wanted a single provider with end-to-end responsibility that could deliver services with predictable speed, quality and security. The solution is cost efficient and at the same time we get access to a wider portfolio of services than we had before,” said Fritz Ekløff, SVP of corporate IT at BW Offshore.
