The expansion encompasses Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar, and comes as a result of increased demand for networking services in the region.
Sanjay Nayak, VP of product strategy at Pacnet, said that the Greater Mekong sub-region is an exciting area of economic growth for Asia-Pacific, and a number of companies are looking to establish themselves in the area.
“One of the most critical services for any business today is a reliable and secure communications network,” Nayak said. “Integrating these additional locations with our region’s largest subsea cable infrastructure, we can offer a true path towards network convergence to address the growing network demand of our customers and support their business expansion.”
Pacnet’s MPLS-based global IP VPN services enable enterprises to improve productivity and communications via intranet, VoIP and instant messaging services.
Earlier this month, Pacnet launched its PEN in the US.
