LIME launches payTV in the Cayman Islands

The Caribbean arm of Cable & Wireless Communications (CWC), LIME, has introduced its payTV service in the Cayman Islands.

LIME is reportedly the first telecommunications operator to offer ‘quad play’ in the Caribbean, and the service, LIME TV, is expected to increase the loyalty of its customer base.

LIME TV, first launched in Barbados, is delivered over a broadband connection in the customers home and can be purchased independently or as part of a package.

The service broadcasts over 120 standard and premium channels in the Cayman Islands, and includes major US networks such as ABC, CBS and NBC.

LIME has worked with local content producers in the Cayman Islands to tailor the product to the region.

CWC payTV services are also available in Panama, Monaco, Barbados and St. Lucia.

In February this year LIME’s CEO, David Shaw, resigned from his position.
