Ericsson plans to open BSS office in Beirut

Ericsson's Middle East unit plans to open a Business Support Systems (BSS) network office in Lebanon, Beirut.

There has reportedly been a growing demand for BSS solutions in the Middle East region, which has prompted plans for an additional service delivery centre in the Lebanese capital.

The development was announced by Ericsson's Middle Eastern unit president Tarek Saadi, who said the centre, which will serve global markets as well as the Middle East, will require 350 staff including local senior representatives.

The European vendor provides charging and billing solutions to more than 600 operators.

“We are very excited to be able to share the knowledge and expertise of our team in Lebanon with teams across the globe in order to support them with business growth,” added Saadi.
