TIM Brasil to invest in network improvements

TIM Brasil is set to spend BRL3.6 billion (US$1.8 billion) on network and service improvements in 2013.

The funds will largely be used to budget IT projects, according to a statement from the company, as well as further developing other areas of the business.

Efforts to implement this were evident earlier this month as TIM announced its partnership with NSN to deploy an LTE network on its existing 3G infrastructure.
