Aquino, who has over 30 years of telecoms and ICT experience, will be tasked with guiding Overture through its next phase of global customer and revenue growth.
He joins the company from Ciena where he held executive positions include SVP of global field operations, general manager of global government solutions and VP of Americas.
Aquino is credited with assisting Ciena in the integration of multiple acquisitions including World Wide Packets and Nortel’s Metro Ethernet Networks business.
Before joining Ciena, he held leadership roles at ONI Systems, Bay Networks and IBM.
