Sea Fibre Networks launches Bright Fibre

Sea Fibre Networks (SFN), owner of subsea telecoms network CeltixConnect, has announced the launch of a services platform named Bright Fibre.

Bright Fibre is designed to provide service providers and enterprises with the benefits of dark fibre, while owned and managed by SFN.

According to the company, the service can reduce costs and decrease the risk of interference for customers. Bright Fibre comprises fibre, co-location services and customer optical equipments all managed under one single point contact.

SFN claims Bright Fibre enables internet enterprises and service providers with such infrastructure that is otherwise unattainable because of a lack of localised internet resources or skills.

“As demand for international bandwidth continues to increase, growing 45% in 2011, a new wave of companies wish to own their own network infrastructure but lack the resources,” said Diane Hodnett, CEO at Sea Fibre Networks.

“Bright Fibre facilitates these organisations to exploit new internet-based opportunities to manage in house with greater certainty and massive cost savings.”

90% of the world’s data has been created in the last two years, and it is projected this will grow by 50 times in the next 10 years.
