Transition Networks partners with Teledom in Nigeria
US telecoms equipment maker Transition Networks has partnered with Africa infrastructure company Teledom International for the development of Nigerian broadband infrastructure.
The partnership will cover the country’s broadband infrastructure for metro, home, office and campus connections. There are also further plans to establish an assembly plant for future developments in the market.
Transition networks claims to offer the ability of affordably integrating fibre optics in to a data network in any application. Its solution also offers users the capability of delivering and managing network traffic reliably over fibre.
With the demand for next-generation services ever increasing following the influx of international cable connectivity in the African region, Transition will cater to enterprise solutions and offer a portfolio of Ethernet switches, routers, fibre modules and network management services.
The US company will also increase the availability of fibre networks for data, voice and video and mobile backhaul applications. Its solution further offers access control and video surveillance systems for homeland and national security operations.
