The FTTH Council has appointed Heather Burnett Gold as its new full time president.
Gold was most recently SVP of external affairs at business technology company XO Communications where she served for seven years.
Before that she served for five years as president for the Association for Local Telecommunications Services (ALTS). She has also held a founding principal position at the telecom consulting firm KDW Group, and also served as VP of industry affairs for intermedia communications at the company.
Gold succeeds Dan O’Connell, who resigned last month to take a senior vice president position at US cable operator Comcast.
