Telekom Slovenia to be privatised by end of 2014

Slovenia’s state-controlled telecoms group, Telekom Slovenia, is set to be privatised by the end of the year, according to the country’s economy minister Metod Dragonja.

Dragonja told a news conference that the government’s 62.54% stake in Telekom Slovenia will be sold by the end of 2014, and is one of a dozen companies that the government has listed over the past year.

Slovenia is stepping up its efforts to improve its economic situation, and the company has a market capitalisation of about €860 million.

The Slovenian government recently announced details of the country’s upcoming 4G spectrum auction, set for this month.
