Etihad Etisalat Mobily, Zain Saudi and Saudi Telecom are said to be discussing the possibility of establishing a company to share ownership of their towers, according to Maaal, a Saudi financial news site.
The deal could provide savings of as much as 70% on infrastructure and enable the operators to reduce their tariffs, said the newspaper.
Last November, Etihad Etisalat Mobily said it was considering a sale of its towers, most likely to a company that would lease the towers back to the seller.
