Deutsche Telekom expands OTT offering with Evernote partnership

Deutsche Telekom (DT) has signed an agreement with OTT application provider Evernote to cover 12 existing DT markets in continental Europe with its service.

Evernote’s service allows users to take notes, clip webpages and record audio, among other capabilities, and DT customers using the service will benefit from an increased 1Gb per month upload capacity.

The 12 markets comprise Albania, Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Montenegro, Macedonia, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania and Slovakia, and the partnership took four months to complete.

“Partnerships like these enable us to provide our customers across Europe with access to an increasing number of innovative online services," said Claudia Nemat, board member for Europe and technology at Deutsche Telekom.

"This is in line with our innovation goal of entering into partnerships to offer unique services that will increase value for the customer, as well as customer loyalty.”

In August 2012, Deutsche Telekom partnered with OTT music provider Spotify to offer services in Germany.
