Speakers said the region is only in the early phases of the “ICT revolution”, and development of the sector would rely on partnerships between local and international players.
Panellists from MTN Nigeria, Dolphin Telecom and Main One Cable outlined the country’s need to see more collaboration to develop advanced communication solutions.
“We are still at the very beginning of a lot of transformations (cloud, internet of things, M2M),” said Babatunde Osho, chief enterprise solutions officer at MTN Nigeria.
Francis Okoh, chief commercial director at Dolphin Telecom, agreed.
“Partnerships and collaboration are the way to go,” he said.
