The only wholesale event connecting North African carriers with their international partners
The inaugural Capacity North Africa united both regional and international wholesale telecommunication players in the influential connectivity hub of Cairo, Egypt. The meeting point brought together carriers looking to grow their network reach in North Africa, companies with an interest in both existing and new subsea cable routes through the Red Sea and the Mediterranean, data centres, ISPs and cloud and content providers.
Egypt’s geographical positioning plays a fundamental role in the connectivity of the global network infrastructure. By sitting between the great landmasses of Africa, the Middle East and Europe, the transcontinental connectivity hub acts as a pivotal communications transit route.
With the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology currently leading Egypt’s digital transformation initiative focusing on the countries telecom infrastructure, the future for the Egyptian and North African carrier market is set to see exciting new projects, new investors and new technical developments.
