Subsea Americas: Overview
250+ Subsea Professionals
The only submarine event that focuses exclusively on cables connecting or landing in North, South & Central America.
As new cable builds are being commissioned from Europe, Africa and Asia to land in the Americas, the region is now a hotbed for international cable investment for carriers, content providers and private investors. Subsea Americas will allow you to join the conversation with the industry leaders spearheading these new cable builds, along with global data centres, vendors, IXPs, financers and lawyers who play a fundamental role in the optimisation of these new developments. The event will allow you to network with key stakeholders as they look to connect with their next submarine partner.
Don't just take our word for it...
"Very much looking forward to this year after 2017's success. My expectations for this year are that I will once again gain further in-depth insights from industry peers in both the informal networking environment, but also from the various matter-expert speakers on the overall state of play in the subsea space, as well as regional developments across the Americas. Truly exciting times with new subsea links across the pond combined with other continental connections."
Paul Scott, Senior Advisor, C&W NETWORKS

Subsea Americas 2019 highlights
Subsea Americas will see the return of the Women in Subsea Initiative. Women in Subsea is a dedicated interactive workshop tasked with the overarching objective to create an environment that encourages knowledge sharing, promoted diversity and encourages a trading of skills. The forum’s objective in Washington is to focus on process of identifying a career mentor and exploring how the industry can inspire young engineers to consider subsea as a career path.To hear more or RSVP, please email Finlay.Eglinton@capacitymedia.com
There is a disconnect between the needs of the cable companies and the needs of the hyperscalers when it comes to approaching a new project. Cable companies are in a situation where they need investment to build a cable, and the hyperscalers have established business needs which aren’t addressed. Hear updates from the leading hyperscalers in the industry in quickfire presentations on the morning of Day One at Subsea Americas 2019.
Engage in structured networking sessions through facilitated interactive roundtables at Subsea Americas 2019. RSVP now to register yourself for the roundtables taking place on day two – 12 September. Spaces are limited, so please let us know which one you would like to attend by contacting Finlay on: Finlay.Eglinton@capacitymedia.com
Roundtable topics include:
• Pricing: How are operators cutting the costs of cable projects?
• Assessing the risks ahead of planning a new project
With a dedicated session on the subsea trends across the Latin American continent, Subsea Americas 2019 will provide all attendees the opportunity to hear about the new cables launching along both the Pacific and Atlantic coastlines, an update on regional pricing trends and who the new players are entering the market.
