Amdocs unveils industry benchmark for eSIM revolution

A framework that introduces the industry benchmark for successful eSIM deployments has been announced by Amdocs.

The L.E.A.D.E.R framework – published in a joint white paper with Counterpoint Research sets out the criteria for eSIM leadership and highlights implementation and monetisation opportunities for MNOs.

The white papers found that more than 200 MNOs in over 70 countries are already offering eSIM provisioning and management, supporting an average of 20 or more devices including smartphones, smartwatches, laptops and tablets.

The framework assesses MNOs across the globe on their ability to scale eSIM technology across several lines of businesses, deliver seamless enablement and management, drive rapid adoption and on their efforts to expand or leverage reach across borders.

Vodafone Business and RingCentral team for flexible cloud communications solutions

Vodafone Business and RingCentral have unveiled ‘Vodafone Business UC with RingCentral’ – a new  communications platform that combines message video phone services with Vodafone’s 5G capabilities.

The new platform will be rolled out in the UK, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Portugal, Singapore, Spain and Sweden.

Giorgio Migliarina, products and services director at Vodafone Business said: “As businesses adapt to a disruptive and changing environment, they need to become more automated and agile in their way of working. Bringing technologies together that work in sync, connecting people, processes and information for faster decision making, will be critical.

Juniper Networks unveils Juniper Secure Edge

Juniper Networks has announced the newest addition to its Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) architecture, Juniper Secure Edge.

The solution delivers Firewall-as-a-Service (FWaaS) as single-stack software architecture and it will be managed by security director cloud.

The company adds that the platform will provide users with fast, reliable and secure access to applications and resource, ensuring a seamless end-user experience.

Samantha Madrid, VP of security business and strategy at Juniper Networks said: “We’re excited to take the next big leap in the SASE market with Juniper Secure Edge.

“First, we empowered our customers to manage security anywhere, all within a single UI with Security Director Cloud.

“Now, with the introduction of Juniper Secure Edge, Juniper is enabling its customers to seamlessly secure remote workforces with consistent security policies that follow users wherever they go, all while leveraging existing investments as they transition to a cloud-delivered architecture.

Zain Saudi expands partnership with Evolving Systems

Evolving Systems has announced a strategic collaboration with Zain Saudi Arabia to deliver a new solution for its customers using its digital-only telecom product vehicle, branded as Yaqoot.

Yaqoot was launched by Zain as the first step in its digital transformation programme and wanted to address the challenges of personalisation and customer retention to create more flexibility in the implementation of Loyalty use cases.

Evolving Systems says it will offer its platforms “functionality and flexibility as well as its technology superiority” that will enable 360-degree customer profiling.

The MoU between Zain Saudi and Evolving Systems was signed on February 2 in Riyadh.

LOGIX reveals mobile backhaul agreements

LOGIX Fiber Networks has signed agreements with two major wireless carriers to provide fibre to the tower solutions in Texas.

LOGIX’s success in mobile backhaul has increased in recent times and it has inked new agreements across the markets in the state.

Craig Collins, CEO of LOGIX said: “The rapid deployment of 5G has driven the need for mobile carriers to increase bandwidth to macro sites that will scale to 10G on-demand.

“LOGIX is committed to doing whatever it takes to keep Texans connected, and we’re making significant capital investments in our network to enable us to provide best-in-class solutions for our carrier partners.

5G is expected to account for 49% of the global market by the end of 2027, passing 4.4 billion subscriptions.
