Telenor Sweden, Allente name new CEOs

Telenor Sweden has named Kaaren Hilsen's successor, after she was appointed to head Telenor's new towerco.

Allente CEO Bjørn Ivar Moen will take on the role of CEO of Telenor Sweden, effective 1 October. Hilsen starts her new role at the towerco on 1 September while Allente is now being run by Jonas Gustafsson, effective yesterday.

Jukka Leinonen, EVP and head of Nordics for Telenor Group said: "Bjørn Ivar knows Telenor well, and his strong commercial profile, energetic leadership style, and solid CEO and Board experience make him the right person to head Telenor Sweden in its transformation journey back to growth.

"I am confident that he will execute on the company’s strategy and build on the excellent work done by Kaaren Hilsen in the past years to solidify Telenor Sweden’s position as one of the leading players in the Swedish market."

Filling Moen's shoes at Allente – the Nordic TV distribution company 50% owned by Telenor Group –Gustafsson was previously the firm's CFO and head of operations.
