Telstra has named Mikoto Anzai as its new director of partners and alliances.

In this newly created role, Anzai will lead key partner relationships in the US and Canada as part of the company’s continued growth of its Americas business. Based in Los Angeles, she reports to Przemek Zajic, vice president of strategy, operations and partnerships at Telstra Americas, playing a key role in the company’s enterprise and technology go-to-market sales strategy.

“We’re excited to have Mikoto join the Telstra Americas team in this new role to expand our engagement with existing partners as well as identify, build and lead new commercial partnerships across both channel and direct sales,” said Zajic.

“Telstra Americas works with a diverse ecosystem of partners that include over the top technology players, equipment and solution providers and, of course, our US agent community, and Mikoto is solidly positioned to build and deepen relationships to increase growth in this very important sector.”

Anzai enters the role with substantial performance-driven partner management and business development experience from 15 years at BT in the Americas.  She most recently served as director of wholesales & strategic alliances for BT Americas, leading strategic partner relationships in the Americas with a focus on Latin America.

During her tenure, Anzai managed a diverse team of channel sales managers in over 10 countries supporting service providers and carriers in the region. Under her leadership, Anzai improved executive engagements by aligning strategic and planning decisions. In addition, she launched the regional partner program in collaboration with technology partners such as Cisco, Riverbed, Infovista and Poly, to name a few.

Prior to this, from 2012 to 2016 Anzai served as senior business development manager for BT Global Strategic Alliances. In this role, she led the development of the alliance partnership program with service providers, carriers and system integrators.

Before this, she also held the role of senior major accounts manager for BT Latin America, where she managed 17 indirect channels in Latin America reselling global networking solutions to enterprise customers.
