Chayora makes three appointments to executive team in China

Chayora has strengthened its executive team with three senior appointments.

The new appointees bring significant experience leading data centre build and technical operations in major international hyperscalers.

The first is Tiger Zhou as operations director. Zhou has worked in lead technical roles for the likes of Amazon Web Services China as well as Microsoft China, Cisco and Ericsson. Specifically, he has over 10 years’ experience in AWS data centres and built new data centres in Ningxia and Hong Kong as well as scaling existing data centres in Beijing, Ningxia and Hong Kong.

We look forward to Tiger, Mark and AC strengthening our existing leadership team and progressing the next phases of our Tianjin hyperscale campus along with our imminent Shanghai data centre facility which we will be announcing shortly to meet known customer needs.”

Zhou is joined by Mark Froelich, as Chayora’s new programme director. Froelich enters the role with more than 20 years’ experience in data centre and high-tech office campus projects, with major multinational corporations in the USA, APAC and EU.

Prior to joining Chayora, Froelich served as senior director for Universal Creative in delivering their high-tech theme park in Beijing, as well as holding senior positions with Google and Amazon Web Services in Japan, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Ireland and Australia.

Lastly Chayora welcomes new technical director Lee Heng Aik Chuen. Aik Chuen has over 20 years data centre design and project management experience, including several large green field data centres ranging in size from 15MW to 36MW of IT load. He has worked for such companies as ST Telemedia and Digital Realty and has set up technical operation teams for 7 large data centres in Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong and Osaka.
