The thirteen winners of the 2020 Global Women in Telco & Tech Awards have been named.

Taking place as a virtual ceremony among a day of panel sessions, workshops and interactive discussions, the show was attended by notable industry figures to celebrate the accomplishments of women in the telecoms and technology space.

Hosted by Capacity’s Georgia Ermilios and Natalie Bannerman, it was truly a night of global celebration and distinction. A special thank you to our esteemed judging panel including:

The first award of the evening went to Nancy Novak at Compass Datacenters for the Best Woman in Data Centre, shortly followed by Chindata Group for its work on female representation within its company, walking away with the Best Data Centre Company award.

Ufinet’s Ruby Castellanos Castillo walked away with the trophy for Best Woman in Wholesale Telecoms, Tillman Infrastructure’s Suruchi Ahuja won for Best Woman in Tower, ZenFi Networks’ founder Victoria Lamberth came out on top in the Best Women in Network Orchestration category and warm congratulations for Maja Summers of Vodafone Carrier Services for being named Best Woman in Subsea.

Acknowledged for its creative marketing during International Women’s Day 2020, Maven Wave Partners were crowed winners for Marketing or Social Media Campaign of the Year and Atos IT Services beat out the competition to be named Project of the Year.

Introduced by Oracle’s Troy Tazbaz in tribute to its namesake Brynn Fowler, this year’s Agent of Change Award went to Dr. Terri Simpkin of Portman Partners, while Company or Organisation of the Year, announced by Monique Lanne-Petiton on behalf of last year’s winners Télécoms sans Frontières, went to Verizon.

The last three trophies of the night belonged to our disruptor category and went to Alexandra Rasch of Caban Systems for Rising Star, Gnanapriya Chidambaranathan at Infosys for Outstanding Achievement and MainOne’s Funke Opeke for Woman of the Year.
