Google Cloud adds four senior management appointments

Google Cloud has named four new regional heads to support its growing customer base in Europe, Middle East and Africa regions.

According to PCR, following on from the appointment of Pip White as managing director of UK & Ireland, the company has also selected Daniel Holz as regional vice president of Northern Europe and the DACH Region.

As well as Samuel Bonamigo as vice president of EMEA South, Laurence Lafont vice president of industries for the EMEA region except France, and Benjamin Faes, will continue on as managing director of Central and Eastern Europe, Israel, Middle East and Africa.

Today, many leading brands in Europe, the Middle East and Africa are turning to us to help them digitally transform, streamline and reinvent their business models,” said Chris Ciauri, president of EMEA at Google Cloud

“Pip, Laurence, Daniel, and Samuel join us at a time of significant growth as we continue to evolve our business to further strengthen our go-to-market and front-line support for customers and partners across the region.”

White who started in June joined from Salesforce with nearly two decades of experience. She is now responsible for leading Google Cloud's business strategy across the UK and Ireland.

Holz joins from a 12-year tenure at SAP Germany. He served at the likes of IBM and Oracle. He will now oversee the development of customer-centric solutions and services in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Finland and Norway. As well as notable regional partnerships such as with Lufthansa group and Deutsche Bank.

Bonamigo also served at such companies as Salesforce and Oracle, entering role with over 20 years of experience. In his new position he will help deliver technological added value for customers in the region, while overseeing such regional partnerships such as Telecom Italia, Telefónica and Renault.

Lastly, Lafont spent more than 8 years at Microsoft in France where she was director of operations as part of more than 25 years of industry experience at companies such as Nokia, Orange and Oracle. In her new role, she will support the digital transformation of customers and develop new sales teams for industry in EMEA minus France.

The news forms part of Google Cloud’s plans to expand its EMEA operations to meeting growing demand during a “continued period of accelerated growth”.
