The fibre infrastructure company Segra has named its new COO, who will lead network operations centres, network planning, customer service centres and service delivery.

Jason Campbell brings more than 20 years of experience to his new role and said he is excited to work on the company's future expansions.

CEO Tim Biltz said: “I am thrilled to partner with Jason as we enhance our team and continue to enjoy substantial growth.

“Jason is a one of the most respected leaders in our industry, who has a stellar track record of delivering industry leading operational metrics and results for customers, employees and owners. His vast technical and operational experience coupled with his very personal leadership style will empower and fuel Segra’s growth for years to come,” added Biltz.

Details of how the company will expand have not been clarified, however Segra operates a fibre infrastructure network of more than 30,000 miles, connecting  more than 10,000 locations and nine data centres across nine Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern states.

Campbell said: “I am delighted to join Tim and the Segra Team. The team has successfully grown the business through both organic and merger activities and I’m excited to work together towards future expansion and successes.

“Segra’s reputation related to customer satisfaction and commitment to organisational engagement resonates with my business values,” he added.

Campbell holds more than 20 years of experience leading companies through growth and expansion phases, previously serving as an operating executive at Berkshire Partners, and COO of Lightower Fiber Networks / Crown Castle Fiber, where he spent 10 years.

Earlier in his career, Campbell was VP of operations for One Communications and VP of network engineering with Conversent Communications.
