Pioneer Consulting restructures senior leadership team
10 June 2020 | Natalie Bannerman
Pioneer Consulting has announced the promotion of two of its senior leadership team as well as the addition of a new director of client solutions.
Keith Schofield, a leader in Pioneer Consulting for the last 13 years, will now assume the role of Strategic Advisor, effective as of 1 July.
In his new role, Schofield will be able to trade his project-specific responsibilities for a key role in guiding the firm’s long-term market strategy.
Since joining the firm as its director of submarine networks in 2007, Schofield has overseen some of the industry’s most complex telecom infrastructure projects
He was then named a managing partner, where his role expanded to include a strategic growth program built around a new Custom Consulting portfolio.
“This is the right move at the right time,” said Schofield. “Pioneer Consulting’s operations are in terrific hands with Gavin Tully settling in as managing partner and Dave Marie coming aboard this month as director of client solutions.
“With that kind of talent in place, my own opportunities to make a significant and distinct contribution to Pioneer Consulting lie with helping chart its broader strategy. I relish the opportunity to advance the firm’s prospects in my new role.”
Succeeding Schofield, Tully will join Howard Kidorf as Pioneer Consulting’s managing partner.
He enters the role with 12 years’ experience in the industry, having previously served for three years as Pioneer Consulting’s director of submarine solutions before being named partner in 2018.
As for Marie, he will leverage his engineering expertise and corporate leadership to his new position.
Prior to his appointment, he served for eight years as director of engineering at Gulf Bridge International (GBI), as well as Chief Technology Officer for Indian Ocean Xchange’s (IOX).
“Dave brings a portfolio of skills to Pioneer Consulting that clients will appreciate,” said Tully.
“We were looking for a rare combination of executive leadership experience and proven engineering skills, and Dave’s background will be a perfect fit for our team. Plus, his geographic location will further augment Pioneer Consulting’s international footprint and commitment to our global industry.”
“With Keith’s strategic guidance and Dave’s combination of seasoned leadership and technical project management experience, we have the leadership in place to continue providing clients the best, most comprehensive service in the undersea telecom industry.”
