Windstream Enterprise and VMware are extending its three-year collaboration, delivering SD-WAN solutions supported by VeloCloud.

“Prior to the launch of our solution, Windstream Enterprise performed an exhaustive review and testing of SD-WAN technology providers and VeloCloud, now part of VMware, was far superior to the competitors,” said Layne Levine (pictured), president at Windstream Enterprise. “VMware’s SD-WAN offering is feature-rich with granular visibility, delivers superior application performance, and provides dynamic routing for high resiliency that enabled Windstream Enterprise to establish a market-leading position and help our customers take advantage of transformative cloud-based communications services.”

Windstream Enterprise has been able to further enhance its WE Connect service using VMware’s orchestration platform and combining it with their big data initiative to drive the WE Connect Insights Engine, providing customers with deeper knowledge of their network and applications.

“As a SD-WAN leader, we have worked very closely with Windstream Enterprise to architect and provide a solution that is ideal for the needs of Windstream Enterprise’s customers,” said Sasha Emmerling, senior director, VeloCloud business unit, VMware. “The collaboration and resulting capabilities and enhancements to the overall SD-WAN product have supported Windstream’s rise as a leading SD-WAN solution provider.”

Arc3 Gases, a customer of Windstream Enterprises, implemented the company’s SD-WAN Concierge solution to alleviate their network issues of inadequate resiliency and poor application performance, across its 50 retail locations.

“Windstream Enterprise’s SD-WAN solution has been a vital part of our business, enabling us to consolidate from multiple providers with multiple services to a single provider integrating our network, voice and security services,” said Scott Coats, director of information technology at Arc3 Gases. “And, we have a very positive relationship with the Windstream Enterprise team, and our Concierge service is highly attentive to our needs with excellent follow-through in resolving our issues.”
