TM Forum adds three new names to board of directors

TM Forum confirms the appointment of three new people to its board of directors.

The new additions comprise of Jason Rutherford, senior vice president and general manager of Oracle Communications; Ruza Sabanovic, executive vice president and chief technology officer at Telenor Group; and Craig Wigginton, global telecommunications section leader at Deloitte.

Rutherford recently returned to Oracle after serving for two years as executive vice president and chief revenue officer at KORE Telematics. He brings over 20 years’ experience in the B/OSS space group vice president of global sales at Oracle Communications, as well as a senior leader in sales, pre-sales, alliances and consulting at Convergys and Accenture.

Conversely Sabanovic Telenor Montenegro back in 1996 following which she was named group CTO in October 2015 and in 2017 executive vice president of technologies and services and group CTO. During her long-standing career at Telenor, she also held the position of Senior Vice President, Technology and Industrialisation projects, part of the group industrialization development unit as well as chief operating officer in Telenor India and head of the group network function and group chief technology officer forum.

With more than 30 years’ experience in the wider TMT sector, Wigginton serves as a key advisor to senior executives to address their critical issues, specifically as it relates to the changing role of connectivity as well as the expansion of wireless as a hub.

The appointment of these new figures comes as part of the organisation’s goal of diversifying and bringing new perspectives to the board. It aims to have a representative balance of member industry sectors and geographies through various types of service providers, software companies, equipment suppliers and systems integrators.
