Oi says that this greater focus on B2B is, together with the expansion of its fibre-to-the-home services, is one of the pillars of the company’s restructuring plan. Completed in May of this year, the restricting plan was initiated to try and save the company from closure when it filed for bankruptcy. It has since reported 29% year-on-year revenue growth in corporate IT services in January-October.

According to Reuters, Oi plans on doubling capital expenditure in Oi Soluções throughout 2020. Between 2017 and 2019, the company invested approximately 1 billion reais. The unit currently serves more than 57,000 Brazilain companies in both private and public sectors.

“Oi Soluções requires a significant investment and we expect to more than double B2B capex for 2020,” said Adriana Coutinho, head of Oi Soluções.
