Sanfridsson will take over the role from 2 December following the retirement of current CEO Detlef Spang, who has led the business since its inception as an operationally independent business from the Colt network business in 2015.
During his tenure, Spang drove the data centre business and accelerated growth of its hyperscale footprint enabling Colt DCS to come to realise its vision of becoming the most trusted and customer-centric data centre operator.

Sanfridsson comes to the role with over 20 years’ experience running data centre businesses and will continue to lead Colt DCS’s hyperscale growth, driving expansion into new and existing markets.
As CEO, he will continue to drive the hyperscale footprint of the business as the organisation continues to expand in both new and existing markets.
His most recent role was with Pulsant, where he spent two years as the company CEO. Prior to this, he was managing director of Equinix in the Nordic region, focussing on integrating the organisational alignment of Telecity into the Equinix portfolio. This followed the acquisition of the Telecity Group, where he had spent 15 years at.
At Telecity he held the position of managing director for the Swedish business entity and during his time there, he spearheaded the organic revenue growth of the business as well as delivering the organisation’s first hyperscale facility and thus holds extensive experience of running businesses offering data centre and managed IT services.
