TalkTalk Business has announced the appointment of Jonathan Kini as its new managing director, following the departure of Kristine Olsen-Chapman.
Kini will report to Tristia Harrison, TalkTalk’s CEO, and will be responsible for leading and shaping the growth of one of the UK’s largest B2B providers of broadband, fibre and Ethernet data services.
“We’re delighted to have Jonathan join the TalkTalk Business leadership team. Jonathan’s breadth of business experience, knowledge and drive for team success makes him ideally placed to ensure TalkTalk Business continues to go from strength to strength,” said Harrison.
Kini has held senior roles in Virgin Media and Vodafone across both B2C and B2B, most recently working for Drax Plc as CEO of the customer business. Kini, who also works as an advisor to the Bank of England, will be based full time at the Soapworks, TalkTalk Business’ HQ in Salford Quays.
Jonathan Kini, MD of TalkTalk Business, commented: “TalkTalk Business is truly at the forefront of the UK’s telecoms industry and has immense scope for continued growth. I’m joining at an incredibly exciting time as the business steams ahead with its investment and commitment to a full fibre future. I look forward to driving this movement while keeping our partners firmly at the heart of every decision we make.”
Harrison also told Capacity: “We are sad to see Kristine leave after ten successful years, but respect her decision to stay closer to her family in London as the business moves our HQ to Salford.
"Kristine leaves TalkTalk Business in a strong position, with robust growth and a great management team. We will work together on a smooth transition and remain focused on providing a seamless service to customers.”
