Telefónica International Wholesale Services (TIWS) announces the launch of TUKU Web, its new in-house anti-fraud solution, which helps to prevent and detect potential fraudulent activity, both in incoming and outgoing voice traffic streams.

“We continuously strive to be the best partner we can be for our clients and adding state-of-the-art fraud prevention to our services makes us an even more reliable, responsible and trustworthy international partner,” said Juan Carlos Bernal (pictured), CEO of Telefónica’s International Wholesale Business Unit. “We are privileged to be able to share our experience to help our customers fight fraud.”

The solution consists of two modules: TUKU IN, which covers the detection of fraud on the incoming traffic streams: Bypass (including Bypass OTT and Bypass Roaming), Hijacking, False Answer Supervision and manipulated CLI. TUKU OUT, which focuses on the prevention and detection of anomalous traffic in outgoing traffic streams, providing automatic blocking linked to alarms of potential International Revenue Share Fraud (IRSF), detection of Wangiri, and also includes a Fraud Management System (FMS).

TUKU Web is a multiplatform tool that does not require installation in the local exchanges for either module when used with TIWS carrier services. TIWS manages the service end-to-end to prevent, detect and avoid fraud in order to limit the economic consequences of the fraudulent activity, taking action to stop payment flows to the instigators of fraudulent traffic.
