Pioneer Consulting names Philip deGuzman as director of submarine networks

Pioneer Consulting, an international subsea cable consulting firm, has appointment Philip deGuzman as its new director of submarine networks.
The news adds to the capabilities of the company’s core project team by adding deGuzman’s 10-years’ experience in design engineering and project implementation.
In his new role, deGuzman will use his technical expertise and project management background in advising Pioneer’s clients in the development of new submarine cable systems.
“This industry continues to grow in many regions of the world and I am excited to work at Pioneer Consulting to help achieve the goals of its customers and the investors in submarine cables worldwide,” said deGuzman.
Previously, deGuzman worked for leading undersea cable system supplier, TE SubCom now known as SubCom. During this time, he managed the implementation of numerous trans-Pacific submarine cable project progressing from senior system design engineer to senior project manager. In addition, deGuzman holds a master of science in electrical engineering and is based on the east coast in the USA
The addition of deGuzman strengthens Pioneer Consulting’s ability to support multiple project deployments in parallel and to lead the complex projects that the company has been called upon to coordinate. These projects range from multi-national coordination with content providers or OTTs to disaggregated supply of regional systems.
