Pan-Canadian network solutions provider eStruxture has added Beanfield Metroconnect to its list of network ecosystem partners.

Beanfield, a Toronto-based firm that operates the largest independent fibre network in the Greater Toronto area, has agreed to deploy its networking in eStruxture’s Montreal facility, its first major data centre presence in the area.

The partnership sees eStruxture add Beanfield to its network ecosystem as part of the company’s strategy which aims to give its customers more locations, more capacity and more connectivity options. It provides direct connectivity solutions to a number of providers, carriers, enterprises, cloud and SaaS providers.

“We are thrilled to have Beanfield make its first, major Montreal data center presence with eStruxture,” adds Todd Coleman, CEO Officer of eStruxture. “As a leader in the Montreal region, we strive to attract mutually beneficial opportunities like these, where a proven company like Beanfield can join our continuously growing ecosystem of network providers. It’s a win-win for both our companies that share a similar, customer-centric approach.”

Beanfield provides a wide range of communications services to more than 600 commercial and over 120 residential buildings, including Internet, home and business phone, TV, colocation, private point-to-point circuits, dark fibre, cloud exchange and broadcast services.

Its purpose-built network is designed to handle massive amounts of data and ensure the highest service availability.

“When seeking a destination for our first significant point-of-presence in the Montreal market, we wanted to find an enlightened facility that we know understands the subtitles of the telecommunications ecosystem," added Dan Armstrong, chief executive and CTO of Beanfield.

“Too often similar operators stick to a myopic, out-dated business model that hinders this ecosystem from flourishing within their facilities, and therefore limits our potential marketplace. With eStruxture, we know this is not the case."
