Sophia the robot and Dr Hanson join ITW 2018

International Telecoms Week (ITW) 2018 has announced that Dr David Hanson, founder and CEO of Hanson Robotics, will deliver the keynote speak at the event in Chicago accompanied by Sophia, the AI robot.

In his keynote address AI, Automation and Digitisation: A Transformed Future? Dr Hanson will discuss how emerging technologies will transform industries and society over the next 10 years. As well as a look at the advancements that will be required at the network layer to support these innovations, and the role carriers will play in an automated, digitised world.

“We are pleased to announce that Dr David Hanson of Hanson Robotics will deliver the keynote at ITW,” said Ross Webster, ITW event director. “As Dr. Hanson and Sophia, the Artificial Intelligence robot, will explore, AI is expected to have an impact on a multitude of industries, including optimizing and automating telecom networks.”

For those media companies unable to travel to Chicago there is now a virtual option available. Interviews will be arranged onsite via video webcast giving all media organisations an opportunity to meet with and interview the industry’s leading executives.
