Zayo seeking replacement for Alastair Kane to head Europe

Zayo has still not officially confirmed the departure of Alastair Kane as the head of its European business, though CEO Dan Caruso acknowledged the fact in an investment call this week.

Caruso and COO Andrew Crouch said in the call that the company was looking for a replacement for Kane after he left for “personal reasons”.

Kane – who has not yet updated his LinkedIn profile – joined Zayo in 2013 as vice president of Europe. He previously worked for BT, Level 3 and MFS.

Zayo moved into the European market with the acquisition of AboveNet in July 2012. Two years later it bought London-based Geo Networks. Capacity has contacted Kane for a comment on his plans.
