Global Capacity receives MEF CE 2.0 certification for e-access services

Global Capacity has announced that it has achieved Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) Carrier Ethernet (CE) 2.0 Certification for its Ethernet E-Access services available from its One Marketplace platform.

CE 2.0 Certification confirms Global Capacity’s ability to deliver carrier class local, national and global Ethernet services with standardised interconnection, manageability and class of service to meet the growing bandwidth needs of the most demanding SD-WAN, hybrid WAN and cloud connectivity solutions.

“MEF congratulates Global Capacity on achieving CE 2.0 certification of E-Access services,” said Nan Chen, president of MEF.

“MEF-certified CE 2.0 services form the foundation for creating a global ecosystem of connected networks that will support orchestrated on-demand, assured services over multiple providers. CE 2.0 certification demonstrates Global Capacity’s ability and commitment to deliver innovative solutions optimised for the digital economy and the hyper-connected world.”

The certification also demonstrates Global Capacity’s ability to work with carriers, managed services providers and other business application providers in a cooperative fashion to deliver scalable, reliable next-generation Ethernet solutions from its One Marketplace platform.

Global Capacity’s continued investment in expanding its high-performance Ethernet backbone, adding more Ethernet interconnection points of presence (PoPs) and enabling greater Ethernet access is a testament to Global Capacity’s commitment to deliver ubiquitous coverage, diverse, flexible access options, and simplified service activation and management to both enterprise and service provider customers.

“We see Ethernet as the foundation for new models of design and service delivery, such as our Hybrid WAN and SD-WAN,” shares Tony Thakur, chief technology officer at Global Capacity. “MEF CE 2.0 Certification confirms our place in the market to provide high-performance Ethernet services that solve common industry challenges of scalability, cost, reliability, speed and reach for our customers.”

In April, Global Capacity partnered with VeloCloud to deliver managed SD-Wan services.
