26 January 2017 |
Nokia will deploy 2G and 3G in selected areas to improve Bangladesh’s Teletalk's coverage in rural areas and quality of service in urban areas
Under the agreement, Nokia's RAN technology will allow 2G, 3G and 4G technologies to share a single platform. The technology will also help the operator significantly reduce energy costs and bring down CO2 emissions. Nokia will also support modernisation of Teletalk's core and optics network and will provide professional services for network planning and implementation for the deployment over the next two years.
Gias Uddin Ahmed, managing director at Teletalk, said: "With this initiative we are confident that we will raise the bar for superior and consistent quality of service for our subscribers. We are happy to further extend our excellent collaboration with Nokia towards building a state-of-the-art network to our customers."
