Host Virtual expands its European presence through Telehouse North

Host Virtual has opened its second point of presence (PoP) at the Telehouse North data centre in London’s Docklands.

The company claims that by expanding further into Telehouse North, Host Virtual's customers will benefit from additional high-performance, low-latency connectivity and enhanced access to the EU's leading business hubs including Amsterdam, Paris, Frankfurt and Bucharest. The relationship with Telehouse allows seamless connection to Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform and thousands of other cloud service providers.

Mark Price, Host Virtual's president, said: "Establishing a second PoP in Telehouse’s Docklands campus provides our customers with direct access to important cloud service providers in the UK and EU. It also connects our London datacentre to one of the world's largest internet exchanges and connectivity hubs. It is therefore a win-win for our customers."

Michelle Reid, Sales Director, Telehouse Europe, said: “We very much welcome this expansion of Host Virtual into Telehouse North. Today, Telehouse customers can connect via dark fibre to Host Virtual and over 530 partners flowing into the Docklands campus, from any of our London data centres.”

Telehouse’s London Docklands campus is the home of the London Internet Exchange (LINX). Its carrier-neutral colocation facilities were the first in Europe and it continues to be one of the most connected data centres in the world. It now serves more than 3,000 businesses, including carriers, mobile and content providers, enterprises and financial services companies worldwide.
