Tele2 appoints former Vodafone exec

A leadership team reshuffle at Tele2 will see former Vodafone executive Richard Peers appointed as executive vice president of chief people and change officer, effective July 20, 2016.
Peers, who joins Tele2 from General Electric and spent 14 years with Vodafone, will report to Allison Kirkby, president and CEO of Tele2, will be tasked with strengthening Tele2’s people-focused strategies.
”Since launching our new operating model in October and now in our second year of the challenger programme, I am very excited about Richard joining our team to bring proven leadership to our people and talent strategies, during this period of change,” said Tele2’s Kirkby.
The incoming EVP of chief people and change officer at Tele2 added: “I feel a real affinity with the Tele2 culture and I am looking forward to working with Allison and the leadership team to drive the people and organisation agenda.”
In the reshuffle, Elinor Skogsfors is to leave the leadership team and her position as EVP of human resources. However, she will remain at Tele2 supporting Richard in his group HR team.
