Transtelco picks Hibernia Networks for more capacity

Transtelco has selected Hibernia Networks to provide additional capacity for its IP backbone network.

Hibernia Network’s footprint is said to have enabled Transtelco to augment its service offering for IP transit and low latency, Ethernet-based services to better support its customers’ needs.

“We have been very pleased with the network performance capabilities and flexible solutions that Hibernia Networks has brought to strengthen the service offering for our customers,” said Edgar Mosti, vice president of wholesale network services at Transtelco. “We look forward to continuing the expansion of our commercial relationship for seamless service to customers in the US, Mexico and other parts of the world, who are seeking a differentiated customer experience.”

According to Transtelco, demand for services has grown rapidly among customers in its markets. The service provider operates with a facilities-based network on both sides of the US and the Mexican border, providing customers with a wide range of carrier and enterprise services for cross-border and domestic communications.

Hibernia Networks is said to provide a scalable IP network that runs on its IP backbone connecting over 220 PoPs globally.

“We’re delighted to have been chosen by Transtelco and are proud to be relied upon as a top tier service provider at a global level. Given our compatible network footprints, we are excited about the potential opportunity for the further expansion of our relationship,” said Joe Hilt, vice president of sales, Americas at Hibernia Networks.
