French telecoms giant Orange talks have been extended with Bouygues Telecom after its board acknowledged that “negotiations were not yet sufficiently advanced”.
In an Orange statement, the board of directors is to reconvene again by April 3, 2016, to examine the results of these discussions.
Bouygues, in a separate statement, announced that its own board would meet “before the weekend” to make a final decision on whether or not to pursue the merger plans.
