Deutsche Telekom appoints T-Systems CFO

Deutsche Telekom has appointed Christoph Ahrendt as CFO of its business customers segment T-Systems, effective March 3, 2016.
In his new role, Ahrendt will be responsible for both the market unit, Telekom IT, as well as Telekom Security.
He replaces Thilo Kusch, who had announced his intention to step down in December 2015. Kusch played key roles at the operator, including as CFO of Magyar Telekom and CEO of Makedonski Telekom.
Ahrendt has held a number of management roles, including Vivento and the Group Strategy unit, since joining in 2002. From 2009 until 2012, he served as head of the financial performance management unit for Deutsche Telekom AG. He has served as head of finance, Telekom IT since May 1, 2012.
