Integra Optics launches production facility in Brazil

At Metro Connect 2016 in Miami, US, this morning, Integra Optics revealed the launch of its first international production facility in Brazil.
Integra Optics is an independent US-based provider of fibre-optic and HFC network components, and the facility in Sao Paulo is said to be the only one of its kind in the region.
The launch is allegedly a response to Integra’s growing customer base and Brazil’s increasingly demand for network technologies.
“There is a huge market demand in Brazil for expanded telecommunications and additional bandwidth, as more and more consumers are using the internet and commercial users migrate to the cloud,” said Integra Optics’ COO Jeff DeWeese.
“Brazil is ranked number five in the world for highest number of internet users, and that number is projected to grow by more than 5% in 2016. Our facility in Brazil is based on the model that fuelled our success in the US and is poised to meet that demand. This facility is our first engineering, custom coding and production facility with significant inventory south of the US-Mexico border.”
Integra Optics has also hired Brazilian astronaut and air force pilot Marcos Pontes as an advisor and brand ambassador.
