 Axiata’s tower company edotco is to acquire a controlling stake of 75% in Digicel’s Myanmar Tower Company for $221 million. [read more

 Telenor has announced plans to sell its 33% stake in VimpelCom to focus on its core operations. [read more

 TeliaSonera plans to merge its two Lithuanian subsidiaries, fixed-line operator TEO and mobile player Omnitel. [read more

 Vivendi has increased its stake in Telecom Italia to 19.9% in a bid to further expand in southern Europe. [read more

 Mexico’s Alfa has agreed to purchase a majority stake in Axtel in a move to take on market leader America Movil. [read more

 Orange is in the final round of discussions with an unidentified party to sell its 70% stake in its Kenyan unit. [read more
