AT&T launches TV and mobile bundles after DirecTV acquisition

AT&T has launched what it claims is the first TV and mobile service bundle in the US.

The company’s ‘All in One Plan’ package is said to offer TV content to four TVs, streaming to mobile devices, as well as a $160 phone package for four devices with unlimited voice and text, including 10GB of shared data across four lines.The combination of the two provides a $10 discount, pricing the cheapest package at $200 per month.

The move comes shortly after its $50 billion acquisition of DirecTV. In May 2015 its rival Verizon acquired AOL for $4.4 billion in a bid to expand its digital and video platforms.

“Today is the first of many planned moves to enable our customers to enjoy a premium entertainment experience almost anywhere,” said Brad Bentley, CMO of AT&T entertainment and internet services.

“We’re going to deliver more TV and entertainment choices to more screens – when and where our customers want it. And we’ll offer incredible value with more flexibility and convenience through our integrated packages that deliver a great experience.”
