Nokia has agreed to acquire Alcatel-Lucent in an all-stock deal valued at €15.6 billion. [read more

  Singapore’s Singtel is to acquire US-based cyber-security firm Trustwave for $810 million. [read more
  Vietnam’s Viettel is to acquire the complete assets of Beeline Cambodia; the first time that a Vietnamese firm has acquired an active overseas telecoms operator. [read more
  Software-defined interconnection company IIX has acquired global network solutions provider IX Reach. [read more]
 
 Network optimisation and service assurance firm InfoVista has acquired French network performance company Ipanema Technologies for an undisclosed sum. [read more]
  Infinera has made an offer for metro packet-optical networking solutions provider Transmode. [read more
  Vivendi has entered into exclusive talks to acquire 80% of Orange’s Dailymotion for €217 million. [read more
  MTN is in talks to acquire Visafone Communications in a bid to expand in Nigeria. [read more

  South Africa’s Cell C is set to invest R8 billion (approximately $670 million) in the deployment of its LTE network over the next three years. [read more
