HGC takes cloud service to Cambodia

Hutchison Global Communications (HGC) is launching its cloud service in Cambodia in collaboration with local ISP Ezecom.

The move will see HGC offer ibizCloud to corporate customers in the country, marking the first cloud service of its kind to be offered in Cambodia.

Ezecom will provide local connectivity as well as offer the service under its brand name.

“Our impressive network reach and robust infrastructure enable us to extend HGC’s cloud sites to Cambodia swiftly and reliably, thereby building on our already significant international cloud proposition. This expansion strategy will also involve markets such as Singapore and Thailand, as well as geographies in Europe, the Middle East and other regions,” said Andrew Kwok, president of International and Carrier Business, HGC.

Launched in July 2013, ibizCloud is designed to facilitate one-stop provision of infrastructure and bandwidth, offering Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Bandwidth-as-a-Service (BaaS).

HGC also has cloud sites in Hong Kong, mainland China and Los Angeles.
