Telekom Srbija selects Ericsson billing solutions

Telekom Srbija has partnered with Ericsson for the deployment of the Swedish vendor’s charging and billing solution.

The Serbian operator will implement the solution for its residential and corporate mobile and fixed-line subscribers, which also forms part of its strategy to transform its business support systems (BSS).

“As the leading telecoms operator in Serbia, we always aim to provide our subscribers with services and solutions that will enhance their experience,” said Predrag Culibrk, chief executive at Telekom Srbija.

“We are glad that together with Ericsson we will implement such an advanced business support system enabling us to meet expectations of our customers and to follow market trends.”

Ericsson’s Charging and Billing in One solution allows service providers to manage the end-to-end business for all types of customers and partners in a single, convergent system, a well as charging and billing for all voice and data, fixed and mobile services.

“This latest project is a continuation of our partnership with Telekom Srbija in BSS,” said Nunzio Mirtillo, head of region Mediterranean at Ericsson.

“Ericsson is the market leader in the domain convergent charging and billing solutions, and we expect that our solutions will help Telekom Srbija in achieving a better customer experience.”

In April last year, Telekom Srbija chose French vendor Alcatel-Lucent for the upgrade of its nationwide network.
