The Telekom Austria Group has expanded its international Etherlink footprint with the launch of three PoPs in London, UK and Istanbul, Turkey.

International Carrier Ethernet enables the seamless interconnection of multiple company locations, and the new Ethernet connections are designed to provide network redundancy and provide a high level of fault tolerance and increased efficiency.

“Over the past few years, Telekom Austria Group Wholesale has developed into a pan-European carrier – I’m therefore particularly delighted to be able to announce the further expansion of our footprint at the very start of this new business year,” said Stefan Amon, director of wholesale at the Telekom Austria Group.

“With the three new PoPs in London and Istanbul, we are laying the foundations for the worldwide connections of our customers.”

London in particularly is a strategic location for the operator as its hosts numerous American, European and Asian providers.

Customers can now benefit from faster and more efficient connectivity to operators in these countries, as well as the Telekom Austria Group’s Ethernet product portfolio.
